Description

Downhole Mud motor is one of the most widely used equipments in directional drilling,in which TC radial Bearing is the most important parts,TC radial bearing assembly is a robust and field proven design, we uses a special Tungsten Carbide tile matrix for the radial bearings for maximum protection against radial wear. Axial thrust is managed by a series of full contact mud lubricated tool steel thrust bearings.

Tungsten carbide radial bearings offer the advantage of providing higher differential pressures across the drill bit without the concern of losing seal integrity that is possible with sealed bearing units. The ROTATE bearing assembly has a proven history of excellence in both performance and reliability.

Century Tool adopt advanced vacuum sintering process and HIP sintering process to perfectly combine sintered cemented carbide tiles and steel matrix,significantly enhance bearing's resistance to abrasion,erosion and corrosion from mud fluid in drilling mutor,thus ensure that downhole drilling motor could stably work in directional drilling.

The hard alloy covering rate reach to 55%-60%. There are several advantages as below:

Application

1. Typical life expectancy: 160 - 300 hours. (Run life solely depends upon drilling environment, mud composition, bend settings, carbide configuration and quality).
2. Tungsten carbide tiles layout could reach 55-60% on bearing surface, which significantly improve the wear resistance of the bearing.
3. Average hardness for the tungsten carbide is 70 HRC. (Different compositions are available at customers request)
4. Average hardness of substrate is 28-36 HRC. (Many material and heat treating options are available)

Advanced technology protective measures, sintered materials under high temperature not oxidation, surface purification activation, liquid solder infiltration is good, the sintering shrinkage layer, not only to completely eliminate the sintering defects such as shrinkage, porosity, and prevent the crack problems in the sintering process, sinter layer are combined with matrix and firm, be in harmony are an organic whole, without peeling phenomenon of impellers.
5.Proprietary design eliminates catastrophic downhole radial bearing failure.Carbide tiles and matrix design ensures extended life compared to cladding of welded overlay designs.With the high strength and hardness of carbide tiles, there will be no peeling and cracking problems when use, still with high wear resistance, impact resistance and various corrosion resistance under bad working conditions, the service life is about 160-300 hours, it depend on drilling environment, mud composition, bend settings, carbide configuration and quality)
